I have been attempting to load a Reckon program from disc I've tried 2 different discs, same program I get a msg that the program couldn't load Microsoft Runtime, so load fails. I have another Reckon program on my pc, which works fine. I've also been trying to download VMware, and get the same issue Microsoft support say I should contact the manufacturer, but Microsoft is the manufacturer and I have the same issue with products from 2 totally different software providers??

Details required :. Cancel Submit. I have got the same issue when i try to install Vmware Workstation Pro on Windows I just right click on the installer file, and click "run as administrator". My PC required me to enter my admin password so i did, and it installed successfully.

In reply to HelpWin10's post on March 6, Thanks for taking the time to reply I have tried several times to ensure I am operating as administrator, and did as you did and right clicked on the installer Runtime still won't load.

But thanks again for your help. Log into the VM. Try the VMware Tools installation again. In reply to A. User's post on March 16, Thank you Gina Cool for your reply I had read somewhere that the CD drive may be the issue, and have just tried again now to install VM after disabling the drive, but unfortunately that's not the problem.
